Pearlean Shelton Obituary

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Pearlean accept­ed her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Capital Health Regional Center at Fuld in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Pearlean Shelton was born on February 26, 1933 in Hayneville, Alabama to Kittie Hunter Moss and Willie Moss.

She was educated in the Hayneville public school system. She was employed as a housekeeper at Mercer Hospital where she also retired.

In her leisure time, Pearlean loved gardening. She also enjoyed relaxing on her front porch.

She was predeceased by her husband Lewis Shelton; her parents Kittie Hunter Moss and Willie Moss; her two sons-in-law Lloyd Derrell and Joe Houston.

Pearlean's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her son Eddie Shelton; her four daughters Shirley Staton (Karlton Staton), Beatrice Houston, Ar­netha Hasker (Donald Hasker) and Karen Derrell; grandsons Melvin McQueen, Howard Lewis (Nicola Jones Lewis), Nassir Derrell, Matan Shelton (Sue Shelton), Curtis Johnson, Carl Robinson and Anthony Robinson; granddaughters Sonyette Simmons (Charles Simmons) and Shaquanna Collins, Qadriyyah Shelton, April Shelton, Andree dye; twenty-four great grandchildren and four great-great grand­ children; a special thank you to Mrs. Agnes Witherspoon for always looking out for mom; Ms. Clarke, Ms. Mary and her neighbor Tom; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
