Peggy McRae

Peggy Ann McRae(Lawson), daughter of the late Bernice McRae Maxwell, and the late John Ferguson, was born April 13, 1950, in Trenton NJ She departed from this life on February 4, 2021.

Peggy attended both elementary and high schools in Trenton NJ. During jr high, she was in a gifted program, and was sent to Mount Holyoke College for the summer. She excelled in historic studies. Peggy also studied the word of God, and was fluent in scriptures. 

At an early age Peggy accepted Jesus as her Savior.

In her early years Peggy worked for the state of New Jersey, and Ten Acres, in Princeton NJ.

She always had a caregiving spirit, in which at any request for assistance, she would accept the challenge. 

Peggy is survived by her son Aaron Lawson, grandchildren Aj, and Amiah Lawson. Sisters Betty Lawson, and Karin Jeffress, brother in law Darrell Jeffress, nephew Conant Rose, special sister/cousin Constance Vaughn, and Glendora Hearns. She also has host of beloved cousins and relatives.

Memorial service will be 9-11am Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618.  Interment will be private.
