With much love spread and many memories shared, our accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Percy Johnson was born January 22, 1933 in Scotland Neck, North Carolina to Louise and Edward Johnson He relocated to New Jersey and has been a resident of Trenton for the past fifty-five years.
He was educated in Mount Gilbert Baptist Church. He was employed as a machinist at Andrew Machine Company.
Percy attended Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Louise and Edward Johnson; his brothers
Frank, Herbert and Joseph; three sisters Annie Mae Hoagland, Mamie Rutherford and Mary Johnson.
Percy's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his wife Lena Johnson; his two sons Duncan and Gary Johnson; his daughter Jeanette; his grandson Markee; a sister Bernice Harper; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10am Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
