EARLY LIFE
Quayson, also known as Quay. was born on July 16th, 1997 in Trenton, New Jersey to his mother Charlene Williams and his father Brian Goss. He grew up in Trenton, where he was known for his love of the sport of basketball and helping his community evolve. In his beginning school years, Quay studied at Trenton Public Schools before he moved to North Carolina and attended Eastern Gilford High School. From an early age, it was clear that Quay was one of one. He was loyal hardworking, dedicated, strong-willed, and determined to make it. To know Quay, is to love him.
EDUCATIONAND CAREER
Quay attended The Citadel, where he studied Sport Management and was a vital member of the basketball program. He assisted the program in monumental wins against teams like their rivals VMI. Following his time at The Citadel, Quay dedicated himself to giving back to the city of Trenton, Over the years, he worked with dedication and purpose, leaving a lasting impact through coaching, mentorship, and even becoming a Youth Director. FAMILY AND RELATIONSHIPS
Family was at the center of Quay's life. He deeply loved his family and was devoted to maintaining close connections with those who meant the most to him. Whether spending time between cities with his parents or siblings, or dedicating time for his nieces and nephews, he always made sure everyone felt valued and loved. He also shared a special and loving relationship with his girlfriend, Breyonna Miller, who brought great joy and companionship to his life. They met in college and life always brought them back together. Together, they created countless memories filled with laughter, support, and shared dreams Those closest to Quay will remember him for his unwavering loyalty, big heart, and the way he could light up a room just by being there. ACCOMPLISHMENTIS & LASTING LEGACY
In high school, Quay went 3 straight years of 1st team All-Conference and he was a member of the East-West All-Star Team. Quay went 2 straight years as MVP of Eastern Guilford, had the 1000 points scoring record for 2 years, and he went 3 straight years as team captain at Eastern Guilford High School. Quay leaves behind a lasting legacy that is unforgettable. The West Ward was home to Quay where he could always be found playing basketball or coaching. He was a. mentor to many and dedicated his time to growing his youth teams and he later went on to become the Youth Director for Dragon Army. Quay's life was a reflection of love, faith, perseverance, and service. He touched countless lives through coaching, teaching, service, and friendship. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
SURVIVORS
Quay is survived by his mother and father: Charlene Williams and Brian Goss: His bonus mom: Lakisha Barlow (BigDog) and bonus grandmother: Joanne Barlow. His siblings; Ciara Williams, Daquan Wiliams, Dahmiyr Owens, Bryana Barlow, LaTiera Barlow, Shaquan Worthy, Kabrien Goss. His nieces and nephews: Kiara Bethea, Carter Williams, De-Mari Hutton, Kennedy Brown, Noelle Funderburg. Nathaniel Funderburg Jr., Azuiah Ivey, Xylo Worthy Journie Jones-Owens, Dahmiyr Owens Jr., and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his late grandmothers Rosa Goss and Lilli R. Williams, his late great grandmothers Lavinia Gasque and Harriet Davis, his late grandfathers, Thomas C. Allen and Sandford Miller, and his late aunts: Barbara, Cynthia, and Lilli Mae Williams.

Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 150 N. Clinton Ave., Trenton, NJ 08609. Calling hours will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
