Minister Queen Robinson was born on August 10. 1932 in Adel, Georgia, to the late James and Virginia Samuels. She departed this life on August 26, 2023 at Capital Health (Helene Fuld Campus) Trenton, NJ.
After graduating High School in Adel, GA. she went on to Cosmetology School and later fulfilled her passion for cooking, She moved to Daytona Beach FL for a few years before moving to Trenton, NJ. Queen was a cook at McGuire Air Force Base in Pemberton, NJ. She later opened her restaurant "Queen's Restaurant". She was also a cook for Shiloh Baptist Church, Trenton, NJ.
Queen loved church and singing, she was ,a member of Pentecostal Born Again Church under the leadership of Pastor Ruth Funches for many years before joining Loving Kindness Witness of Christ Church under Pastor Merlene Williams after many years there she left to fellowship with Pastor Charles Davis and the Emmanuel Tabernacle Church, and returning to Loving Kindness in 202 I. Minister Robinson loved ministering and singing for God. She would travel to many cities in the state ministering.
She loved talking on the phone, which we are sure many or us knew, she loved watching her game shows and old movies. Minister Queen also enjoyed riding motorcycles growing up and even drove a semitruck.
She enjoyed sharing a ensure with Jayce and Zion, she enjoyed Omiya occasionally sing opera to her, she loved holding Zaiden until it was diaper changing time. she loved her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Virginia Samuels. her husband. Paul Robinson. her sisters Doris and Virginia Scott and Josephine Washington, brothers, Hill and Joe Gilyard. her children, Roger and Belinda Robinson and Elizabeth Gilyard.
She leaves to cherish fond memories daughter, June Smith, sons, Benjamin and Willie Robinson, her brother, Calvin Gilyard (Julia), sister, Mattlyn Henley, grandchildren, Bobby Jones (Nicole), Kisha. and Damara Robinson, Takiela and Dereck Smith. Felicia, Miller (Cylan), Adrian Gilyard, Rufus Robinson and Ryan King, great grandchildren, Jacoby Fowler. lmani White,Omavi, Omari and Omiya Turner, Brittany Carroll, Samara. Quadeer and Malachi Jenkins. D' Mani, Jashira , Jabreah and Jamon Robinson and Jamarquis Johnson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and her church family.
Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Loving Kindness Witness-Christ, 298 Cortland St., Trenton, NJ 08638. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be in Nashville, GA. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
