Ranal Hardrick

Ranal Hardrick, beloved Son, Father, Uncle and Friend was born March 13, 1954 in Princeton, New Jersey, to the late Ola Hardrick and David Hardrick Sr. He transitionedfrom this life November 22, 2025 at Saint Mary's Medical Center, Langhorne PA. Those who knew anal would say he was a guy who was a good friend and someone who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Ranal attended the Hightstown/East Windsor school district graduating and moving on to college during where he attended Lea College in Minnesota and Stockton State College in New Jersey. He would tell me many stories of the brutal winters in Minnesota that drove him back to New Jersey and Stockton State College.

Ranal would hold many jobs during his lifetime, with two of his jobs to be considered career worthy. He worked for 30 years plus for the newspaper that we all grew up on the Trentonian. He eventually rose to the position of Production Supervisor and had a major hand in the paper being delivered to your doorstep. As well as the old paper vending machines and supervising the distribution to street vendors who appreciated the opportunity he provided them to walk into the building to pick up a stack of paper and sell them on street corners and outside the entrance of state buildings. He retired from the Trentonian and decided he wasn't done working and decided to work for the Pennsbury School System as a bus driver, which he described to me as the joy of his work life. That became apparent to me as I had the opportunity to read the many Christmas cards and end of school year cards from not only thankful parents but kids of all ages thanking him for his bus safety and the relationship he developed with all of them, he was affectionately known to them as '" Mr. Ray".

Ranal was not big on joining organizations or groups, what he would want me to talk about was his deep love for fishing. Not standing on the shore of a creek, but real fishing, deep sea fishing, renting a boat with his fishing buddies. And he would also mention that the fishing he did included everything you might know about fishing and much more. He would say the fishing he did was for experienced fishermen.

Ranal is predeceased by his previously mentioned Mom and Dad; his brother King; his sister Olivia and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will see him in eternity.

Ranal left to cherish his memory his Aunt Lucy Spady; his brother David (Celeste, Qiana, Arielle, Ashley); his daughters Olivia (Aziz, Olahni), Octavia (Omar) Tierra (Jesse, Nevaeh, Cory, Nadia, Valerie); his son Cory (Darrian, Darius, Cory, Saiyonnia).

He also leaves his significant other Frances Nock and her grandchild (Ky'Oir) who called anal "Pop-Pop". anal had a number nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and relatives too many to mention who will miss him dearly. I should also mention two gentlemen who were great friends of Ranal, his bus driver coworker John and one of his great fishing buddies Herb, thanks guys for being there for Ranal.

Funeral service will be 12pm Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 21 Rev. William L. Powell Dr., Hightstown, NJ, 08520. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown, NJ.
