Raymond Allen Obituary

Raymond Allen, 65, of Trenton, NJ died peacefully at home on December 24th 2025. He was born May 5t, 1960 the son of Anna Mae Allen and Wallace Sherman Hendryx Sr.

A long time Trenton resident. He was educated in the Trenton public school system graduating from Trenton Central high school in 1978. After graduating he joined the air force. He would then go on to work at Barbour Brothers steel company for 15 years and then Benton Graphics for 11 years. During that time he would go back to receive his associates degree in Microcomputer Systems Administration from Mercer County Community College.

He was a player turned coach of 30 plus years for North Trenton Youth Baseball formerly known as North Trenton Little League. He loved spending time with his grandson and teach him the game. He enjoyed hanging out with his family, and watching football. You can always catch him representing his beloved Las Vegas Raiders.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Allen, his mother Anna Mae Allen, his father Wallace Sherman Hendryx Sr., his sister Wendy Francois, three Aunts, Carrie Allen, Sarah Saheed, and Marie Brown, two Uncles, Leon Allen, Julian Hendryx, and a nephew Sylvester Allen whom we take comfort in knowing welcomed him with open arms.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory daughter Brittney Allen, his grandson Davea Hicks Jr., His sisters Margaret Merrick, Chery Umeh. Sheila Roberts (Tyrone), Sherry Alexander (Sylvester), Theresa Rainer, and Dawn Berry Mepherson (Robert), His brothers Robert Allen, Lester Allen, Norman Allen (Michelle), Jeffrey Grice, John Hendryx (Carol), Kevin Berry (Carol), Brian Hendryx (Janine) Wallace Sherman Hendryx Jr., Anthony Burnett and Alford Davis Hendryx. Aunts Hattie Bell Allen, Geraldine Allen, Miriam Stewart, Nona Hendryx, and Pamela Whiteside one Uncle Stanley Allen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Though the pain of his loss is overwhelming, we find solace in the memories he left behind. His spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by his example. We will forever carry him in our hearts.

Funeral service will be 12pm Monday, January  5, 2026 at Calvary Christian Fellowship Ministries, 611 Parkway Ave., Ewing, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
