With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Richard accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Richard Michael Joseph Howard was born on Thursday, January 16, 1975 to Roxanne Regina Howard and Richard Queen.
He was educated in the Trenton Public Schools. Richard also attended Job Corps in Edison, New Jersey. He was employed by Amazon as a Sorter until his health declined.
In his leisure time, Richard loved playing basketball and Playstation. He enjoyec reading and discussing history. He also loved spending time with his family. He was a proud member of the Trenton's Cavaliers.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents St Howard and Louvenia Howard Davis; grandparents Roosevelt and Ann Queen; grandfather Joseph Adams; his aunt Lorraine Howard; an uncle Willie B. Howard; a brother Robert Howard.
Richard's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his five children Faheem, Tiana, Naveah, Jamire and Skyashia Howard; his mother Roxanne Regina Howard; father Richard Queen; grandmother Lilie Howard; a brother Juan (Kiyana) Turner; his sisters Ariel Howard, Roxanne (Corey) Burke; aunts Loretta Howard-Butler, Linda Howard-Bethea, Brenda Queen, Patty Queen; uncle Jeffery Queen; great aunt Annie James; great uncle Alexander (Savannah) Davis; great-great uncle Asbury Mitchell; ; a very special cousin Lanija Bethea-Cropper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday, June 8, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
