Richard “Rick” Gore

Richard “Rick” Gore, 43, of Hamilton, NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. Rick showed remarkable strength, resilience, and grace throughout the many challenges he faced.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Rick was a lifelong resident of the Trenton-Hamilton area. He graduated from Nottingham High School in 2001.

Rick was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Valarie Gore, and his grandparents Herbert F. and Della B. Gore and Joseph and Celester Creech.

He is survived by his brother Jonathan Gore, his loving partner Marris Gonzalez, his daughter Marissa Gore, step-son Darius Francois, step-daughters Tatiyana Gonzalez, Indya Gonzalez and Ny’anah Gonzalez. Rick is also survived by his aunts and uncles Vanessa Creech, Jacqueline (Raymond) Reading, Mary Joyce (Clarence) Boisseau, Barbara Gore, Linda Eagleton, Lonzy Gore, Deborah (Bryant) Person, Sharon (Antonio) Diggins, Nina (Paul) Bell, as well as nieces, a nephew, cousins, relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.

Rick’s strength, love and memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 11 AM, calling hour will be from 10AM to 11 AM at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Avenue Trenton, NJ.
