Rickey H. Boone, Jr.

With profound love and deep sadness, we announce that Rickey Boone, Jr., was called home on April 30, 2026 in Lawrenceville New Jersey, at the age of 22. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Rickey's presence brought light and warmth to all who knew him.

Born on August 9, 2003 in Trenton, New Jersey, Rickey was the belove and only son of Sheree Davis and Rickey Boone. He was raised and educated in West Windsor, NJ and graduated from West Windsor Plainsboro High School South. He was a star basketball player and admired by all. He continued his education at Mercer County Community College where he continued to play basketball.

Rickey was currently employed as a security guard for the New Jersey State Police. With the encouragement from other Police Officers, most recently he applied to become a New Jersey State Trooper.

Rickey will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love of basketball, his genuine kindness, and the lasting impression he left on everyone he encountered. He was known for his warmth, respectfulness and above all, his unwavering devotion to his mother. Truly, to know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmothers, Joann Davis and Delois Benford; and paternal grandmother, Karen Boone

Rickey leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Sheree Davis; his father, Rickey Boone: his father-figure, Dwayne Latimer; his sisters, Giselle Latimer, Diona Boone. Shade Wilkins, and Savitri Leonard; maternal grandfather, Terry Booker (Corliss); paternal grandfather, Robert Johnson; his aunts, Tiffany Booker, Rosalyn Davis (Kareeme), and Miranda Jackson (Terence): his uncle, Terry Booker, Jr. (Keyona); along with a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Rickey's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Union Baptist Church, Pennington Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be private.
