THE LIFE OF ROBERT
Robert G. Hood departed this life on May 1, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. Robert was born on June 28, 1954, to the late George Frank and Otha Mae Hood.
Bobbie as he was fondly called was a resident of Trenton, New Jersey all his life. He was educated in the Trenton Public School System and graduated with honors. He went on to further his education at the Camden Community College. Bobbie would strike a conversation with anyone who would listen. One day he had a conversation with a gentleman in a Military uniform, he convinced Bobbie that the Military was looking for young outstanding men like him, well the rest was history. He later enlisted with the Unites States Army where he honorably served four years. Returning home, he held positions with the State, County and the City. His favorite position was with the Lawrence Senior Center until his untimely death. Bobbie loved seniors, he kept them laughing and they looked forward to seeing him daily, he
was a part of their medication intake.
Bobbie took pride on being a handy man, some of his prize possessions were a wrench, a hammer, a screwdriver and a pair of pliers just to name a few. You didn't have to look through the yellow pages back then or today google a repair person; you just called Bobbie. Bobbie had many levels to his life. He was a historian extraordinaire and loved reading. He knew what was going on globally. Bobbie also served as a care giver for relatives who were in need, and a babysitter from time to time for his nieces and nephews. He had a marvelous sense of humor like none other. He could tell a joke that would have you laughing for hours, we will never know how he had so many or where he got them from, but he did, that was Bobbie Hood. When you met him, you would never forget him, that was the impact he had on your life. Bobbie loved his family unconditionally and had a very special love for his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bobbie was predeceased by his two brothers, George and Linton Hood. .
