Roger Horne

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Roger accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Roger David Horne was born in Montgomery County Mt Gilead, North Carolina to Vietta Christian Horne and Blennie Carpenter.

He was educated in the Troy, North Carolina public school system. Roger was em­ployed as a local truck driver and a case manager at Skillman Behavioral Health in Skillman, New Jersey.

In his leisure time, Roger liked repairing automobiles. He enjoyed tinkering with things, and his passion was communicating on his CB radio. He appreciate d fellow­ shipping with others, and he truly enjoyed gathering at the Saint Francis Life Center.

He was preceded in death by his mother Vietta Christian Horne; his father Blennie (Alma Mae) Carpenter; his two brothers Jasper Christian and Freddie Christian; his stepfather Theodore Horne Christian.

Roger's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his wife Bronda A. Horne; his six daughters Linda Williams (David), Shirley Jones, Debra Pernell, Ruth Brown, Naomi Horne, Chiquita Horne Jones; two sisters Montie Christian Cloud, Dawn Davis Carpenter (CW); three brothers Anthony Carpenter, Jasper Christian and Titus Christian; a sister-in- law Patty Jones; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
