Ronald Platt Obituary

Ronald Edwin Platt, son of the late Pernell "Pearl" Platt and David Lewis Sf. was born February 28, 1963 in Trenton, NJ. He was called to his eternal rest on September 22, 2020 at Clover Meadows Rehabilitation Center in Lawrenceville, NJ. 

Ronald was educated in the Trenton Public School system and was formerly employed at the Trenton Board of Education. Ronald was a proud member of the International Free & Accepted Masons and, as a lifelong Trenton resident, took pride in supporting local organizations such as the Phi Delta Kappa, Pi chapter of Trenton, New Jersey amongst others. 

Ronald was a fun loving & humble soul with great respect for his elders and a deep pride for the city of Trenton. Ronald would often make you laugh until you cried and was always known to be the life of every party. Ronald was comforted by the company and care of his close friends Dennis Williams, Janie Lane. Toni Williams. DiAsia Smith, Darleshia Hawthorne, Sean "G Money" Brown. 

Ronald was predeceased by his parents Pernell "Pearl" Platt and David Lewis Sr. his three sisters Loretta Lewis. Katherine Ann Platt and Desiree P. Livingston, a nephew David Lewis III and a great-niece Akia K. Dukes. 

Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his three sisters Ida Lewis Kershaw. Katherine Jean Wright (Gary) of Aurora. CO and Danica Platt of Trenton. NJ. His five brothers David Lewis Jr. (Stacey). Horace Platt of Trenton. NJ, George Platt (Elaine) of Riverton, NJ, Ricky Platt of Philadelphia, PA and Charles Morton of Syracuse, NY. His special niece and nephews BaShemah & Steven Rountree, Damaris, Devon, & Donte Platt, as well as a larger host of nieces, nephews, cousins, including his brother-in-law Johnny Kershaw. as well as his four godchildren Dorshonda Brown, Aja McDaniels. Johnny Kershaw and Marquis Brown. 

Services will be 12 –2pm Monday, October 05, 2020 at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ, 08618. Interment will be at Fountian Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
