Rosalind A. Willard

Rosalind Anita Willard was born on June 3, 1959, in Trenton, New Jersey. She was born to Rudolph Darden Sr., and Helen Margaret Glover. Rosalind had many nicknames but was affectionately called Rozzie by her family and friends. Rosalind departed this earth on September 29, 2021, at Capital Health Systems Helene Fuld hospital. 
Rosalind was a resident of Trenton, New Jersey for 62 years and was educated in the Trenton public school system. Before falling ill, Rosalind worked at the College of New Jersey as a cashier in the food service department, in Ewing, New Jersey. Rosalind met the love of her life, Mr. Woodrow Willard on July 1, 1996. After three years of dating, they-were wed in holy matrimony on March 13, 1999. 
Rosalind loved being a homemaker and caring for her husband. She also loved meeting new people and became known as the "Mother" of the building she and Woodrow resided. In addition, she became the self-appointed building watch person and made sure her building remained safe. She prided herself in maintaining a clean home and feeding whoever happen to cross her door. She was also known to make rounds by calling her friends and family to touch base with them, no matter what time of the day. If you were on her mind, she was calling. Rosalind loved shopping and her favorite shopping network was QVC. 
Rosalind was preceded in death by her loving husband, Woodrow Willard; her parents, Helen Margaret Glover and Rudolph Darden Senior; her maternal grandparents, Jarris Walford Barton and Lillian Ethel Lane; her in-laws, Elizabeth Willard Riggins, Eugene Riggins, Sr., James Wesley McNeill Jr. and Gregory McNeill; her brothers, Wilbert Darden, Marion Glover Jr., Rudolph Darden Jr., and Gregory Glover; her sisters, Floretta Richardson and Dell Elizabeth Glover; her stepdaughter, LaKesha Brown. 
Rosalind leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Ayanaa Keya Metoyer; her stepdaughters, Angel Brown and Stacie Brown; her stepsons, Woodrow Brown and Jay Brown; her grandson, Christopher Echyle Metoyer; her granddaughters, Domanique Abner, Apiphany Brown and Lyric Lane; her brothers; Wilbert Glover (Paulette) of Adelphi, MD, Don Glover, Carl Glover (Sharon)of Trenton, NJ, Larry Grover (Cheryl) of Langhorne, PA, Paul Darden and Tyrone Johnson; her sisters, Patrica Simpkins (James) of Willingboro, NJ and Shonette James; her sister-in-Iaw's, Carolyn Glover, Cassandra McClinton (Donald), Marcella Brown (Waiter), Teresa McNeill, Wanda McNeill, Sharon McNeill, Sharlene Williams, Rosalind Riggins Jones, Vanessa Gibli (Jallah) and Dorothy McNeill; her brother-in-Iaw's, Johnnie Richardson, Eugene Riggins, Jr. (Gloria), Anthony Riggins and Val Riggins. Rosalind also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, two special friends, Ms. Olivia "Libby" Colvin and Ms. Sheila Brown, a bonus daughter, Audrey Taylor and other relatives. 
Lastly, Her daughter would like to acknowledge and thank Rosalind's nephew, Brian Dix and his wife, Diane Dix, for supporting Rosalind in her time of need. 

Funeral service will be 11am Friday, October 8, 2021 at Way of the Cross Holy Temple Ministries,
30 Princess Diana Dr., Ewing, NJ 08638 .  Calling hours be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
