Rose Mary Wilson Obituary

Rose Mary Wilson, daugMer of the late Frederick Donald,Wilson, Sr and the late Dottie Mae (Fitzgerald) Wilson, was born in Trenton, NJ on April 23, 1946. She entered eternal rest on January 10, 2024 in Herndon, VA. 

Rose was raised in Ewing, NJ and educated in the Ewing Public School System. Upon graduation from Ewing High School. Rose attended nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). but her goal was to become a Registered Nurse (RN). Rose was accepted into the Provident Hospital-Helene Fuld School of Nursing, where she completed her studies, and graduated in 1969. That same year she was certified oy the Maryland State Board of Examiners as a Registered Nurse. Nursing was Rose's true passion and she spent her entire career as a pediatric nurse because she loved working with children. She was employed by Provident Hospital in Baltimore MD, and MT. Washington Pediatric Hospital, also in Baltimore, where she was a two-time Nurse of the Year award recipient.. 

Rose joined Union Baptist Church at an early age and always considered Union Baptist Church to be her home. She loved reading novels-no matter where she went she always had a book with her-watching movies, vacationing with family and fnends, and  shoppmg. She would spend hours browsmg around her favorite stores looking for sales or watching the shoppmg networks on TV:
Rose was a resident of Maryland for 40+ years before retiring and relocating to Herndon, VA to be near her sister Diann and her family. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick Donald Wilson, Sr, Dottie Mae Wilson and her brother, Frederick Donald Wilson.Jr. Rose's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her he sister Diann Weaver (Anthony) of Herndon, VA; brother Steven C. Wilson (Connie) of Bordentown, NJ; five nephews, four niecs. seven great-nephews, one great-niece, and a host of loving cousins and friends. She cherished her friendship with nursing school classmates Carolyn Coffer, Lenora Ellis-Bell, and Loretta Hunter who affectionately called her "Rose Bud". ·We will miss our dear Rose Mary, and will always treasure our memories. 

 

A Memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Union Baptist Church, 301 Pennington Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618.
