Rose Williams Obituary

Rose Mary Clark Williams, daughter of the late Johnie and Odell Towns and biological daughter of Kathryn Clark was born on June 16, 1952 in Wadesboro, North Carolina. On 
Saturday, November 20,2021 Rosemary transitioned from Life to Eternity at ProMedica Total Rehabilitation Center in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. 

Rose graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1971. She obtained her Associate's Degree in Computer Science from Mercer County Community College in the 1980's. 

Rose was employed with the State of New Jersey for more than 30 years. She began as a Key Punch Operator, transitioned to the Taxation Department and then to the Depart­ment of Pensions. She retired in 2008 from the position of Computer Programmer in the Pensions Department. 

Rose and her son Aaron were inseparable. After retirement, Rose relocated to South Carolina to live with her beloved son Aaron Clark and Daughter-in-law Nakisha. She relocated back to New Jersey in 2014 and married Anthony WIlliams on September 28, 2015. 

Rose pined Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church at a young age and was baptised by the late Elder D.F. Palmer. Rose was known for her love of family and children. Rose was notorious for holding someone's baby at church. Rose was the president of the Young Adult Usher Board for many years where she served and trained young ushers in keeping the order and structure during Sunday services. Rose was a member of the Senior Choir where she sang next to her Mother the late Mother Odell Towns. Rose was well known for her pound cakes that she made from scratch with love. 

Rose was predeceased by her parents Johnnie and Odell Towns; biological father Robert Harrell; 2 brothers Michael Raymond, Marvin Harrell; godmother Francine White. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, son Aaron (Nakisha) Clark of Lake Wylie, SC; her husband Anthon)' Williams Sr.; 2 stepchildren Lela Graham of Greensboro, NC, Tony (Donna) Williams Jr. of Red Springs, NC; 6 Sisters Diane (Ernest) Chester of lawrencev­ille, NJ, Carol Clark of Trenton, NJ, Lisa Dorsey of Ewing, NJ, Bernadette Clark of Ewing, NJ, Josette Games) McCullough of Lumberton, NJ, Charlene (Robert) Christie of Palmyra, NJ; one brother Henry (loycc) Towns of Ewing, NJ; 2 Grandchildren Ashley Stringer of Mount Holly, NJ, Ariel Clark of Lake Wylie, SC; 4 Great Grandchildren, Jada, Justin, Jordan, and Johnathan of Mount Holly; 4 godchildren Kimberly Skinner of Trenton, Devon (lalccsa) Leach of Middletown, DE, [Lani Cortes, Tyrone Mckithen of Law­renceville, NJ; 4 special friends Patricia Washington, Brenda Leach, Rosita Maldanado, Pacheco, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. 

 

Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 66 Race St., Trenton, NJ 08638.  Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
