Rosemary Barnes

Born June 18, 1958. Rosemary began her humble beginnings in Trenton, New Jersey . She attended the Trenton Public school district. She graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1977. She went on to work in various jobs, ending her career at Silgan Plastic.

Rosemary "Big R" Barnes as she was affectionately known. She was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering kindness. Known for her warm heart Generous spirit and sharp wit. She touched the lives of many and left a lasting legacy of love and compassion. Her devotion to her family and friends was evident in everything that she did whether she was offering a listening ear, a comforting word or a helping hand. Rosemary had a rare gift for making tho.se around her feel seen and valued. She was a guiding light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her presence will be deeply missed.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her mother Clarise Marie ·Barnes; her father Ben Barnes Jr.; her son Dontae Barnes; two brothers John Barnes, Willam Barnes; two sisters Barbara Jean Francies, Patrica Barnes; her nephew Dontae Barnes.

She is survived by her sisters Christine McCrae, Theresa, Linda, Clarice Barnes, Marleen Jones·(Robert); her brothers Clarence Frederic , David (Joann), Joe (Tracy), Burnell (Yvonn) Barnes; special caregivers Dora, Shawan, Kiana; special nephew and nieces Kian, Keisha, Monica, and Najah; special friend Fracine Sallie Mathis; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Friday, April 25, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
