Roshell Latimer

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. 

With much love and many memories shared, our beloved Roshell accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her home in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter. 

Roshell Latimer was born September 3, 1967 in Trenton, New Jersey to Rufus Atkins and LaVerne Snead. She remained a lifelong resident. 

Roshell was educated in the Trenton public schools system. She attended Jerusalem Baptist Church. 

In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to laugh and joke, and she'll be missed by all that knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her father Rufus Atkins; her grandparents Marion and Lora Mae Latimer; her brother Maurice Johnson. 

Roshell's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her son Marquise L. Latimer; her daughter Rajanee R. Latimer; her mother LaVerne Snead; her grandchildren Alannah Latimer of Georgia, Mason Garnett of Philadelphia, PA and Jahniya Robinson of Trenton, NJ; her sister Veronica (Marcus) Austin; a brother Jasper C. Evans of Trenton, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

We thought of you with love today but that is nothing new, 
We thought about you yesterday and days before that too 
We think of you in silence we often speak your name, 
All we have are memories and your picture in a frame. 

Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part. 

God has you in His keeping we have you in our hearts.

 Funeral service will be 4pm Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618 . Calling hour will be 3pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
