Samanthia Paden Obituary

Minister Paden, affectionately known as ''Annette'', went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2021 at Virtua Health in Willingboro, NJ. She was born in Blairs, VA February 4, 1962 to Jesse and Gladys Oliver. 
 
Samanthia was educated in the Trenton Public School System and graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1980. She also attended Rider University and obtained her Bachelor's 
degree in Business Administration at Penn Foster in 2020. 
 
In June 14, 1986, she married Adolpah Paden and to this union three children were born, Andrew, Andria and Adolpah Jr. Samanthia loved her children and grandchildren. She was a GREAT supporter of her family and their activities. Whether it was watching someone playing a sport, going on vacation with family or just being there for someone in need. 
 
Samanthia accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a tender of 14, under the leadership of the late E.L. Foster at Samaritan Baptist Church. In 1976, she continued her Christian journey under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Ravenell. She served on many auxiliaries including, Usher Board, Praise &Worship Team, Gospel Chorus, Pastor Aide and Hospitality Committee. Wherever there was a need Samanthia was sure to offer whatever assistance she could. She was called to the ministry and ordained as a Minister in 2017. She later received a Theological Certificate. Samanthia received numerous recognitions throughout her life including, Who's Who Among Executives and Professional Women 2006/2007. 
 
Samanthia was a dedicated employee for the State of New Jersey in the Division of Motor Vehicles for 39yrs. She worked diligently with many municipalities. NJ State Police, CIA, FBI 
and over 170 agencies. She left an unforgettable mark on the all the lives she touched along her 
 
 
Samanthia leaves to cherish her memories: her parents, Jesse and Gladys Oliver; three children, .J Andrew D. Paden (Courtney) of Willingboro, NJ, Andria L. Paden of Raleigh, NC, and Adolpah Paden, Jr. of Willingboro, NJ; one bonus granddaughter, Alexis of Westhampton, NJ; her heart and soul two grandsons, Andrew 'AJ' and Jah'zyah both of Willingboro NJ; one sister, Twanda Oliver of Chatham, VA; five brothers, Julius Oliver (Angelique) of Danville, VA, James Oliver (Kathryn) of Burlington Twp., NJ, Anthony Oliver (Lisa) of Trenton, NJ, Brian Oliver of Trenton, NJ, and Keith Oliver (Lannette) of Raleigh, NC; one brother-in-law, Ronnie L. Paden; five sisters-in-law, Diane Oliver, Dawn Paden, Barbara Paden, Jacqueline Hinson, and Nicole Paden; one aunt, Margret Ford (Larry); three uncles, Jessie Barksdale (Debra), Archie Barksdale (Bernice), and her personal road buddy/uncle, Jimmie Barksdale; six godchildren, 28 nephews and 26 nieces; two special brothers in Christ, Elder Keith Bellamy (Tonya) and Elder Arthur Esaw (Corentha); her special friends, Toni, Deborah, Bethann, Regina Dixon, Denise Matlock, and Brenda Esaw- Howard; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Samaritan Baptist Church, 531 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Trenton, NJ.  Calling hours will be 8am until time of service at the church.   Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.   Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
