Sandra D. Metelus

Sandra D. Metelus ofTrenton, New Jersey departed this life on July 6, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on January 28, 1962 to the late Debbie Stephens a·nd Luther F. Wright in Trenton, New Jersey. She was educated in the Trenton public school system.

Sandra was a faithful employee of United States Steel for the past 25 years as a heavy equipment operator. She loved going to work everyday and shopping at thrift stores on Saturday mornings. Sandra loved interior design. She would walk into any room, and make it bright and beautiful. 

Sandra loved comedy shows, music and being with family and friends. There was no question of Sandra's unique style for fashion. She was a true fashionista. She was truly one of a kind that has left a mark on the hearts of many.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by three sisters Margie, Margaret Stephens and Janice Micelle Stephens.

Sandra's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her children Tanika Wright (Kenric J.), Shannon Wright (Ebony V.) and Shawn Wright (Simon T.); her eleven children Isaiah Wright, Shaunice and Shaune Palms, Myasia Clark, Aliyah Jones, Shannon Wright Jr., Kendra and KenricJonesJr., Shawn Wright, Elijah Wright, Erma is Wright; two great grandchildren Isaiah Wright Jr. and Amias Palms; two sisters Vivian Brumbry and Tracey Stephens; two nieces Debra Watts, Brenda Flim and Donna Brumby; her sister/friends Tondalaia Huger, Marilyn Robinson; a host cousins, other relatives and friends.

 A Words of Remembrance Ceremony will be held at 1pm on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, with calling hour from 12pm to service time. Interment is private.
