Sandra Patterson was born June 22, 1941 to Prince A. Johnson and Alous Paden Johnson both of Corinth Mississippi. From this union Sandra and Marie Johnson were Born. In 1963 they moved to Trenton, New Jersey to provide a better life for their children. Sandra attended the Trenton, New Jersey public school system.
Sandra graduated from Trenton High School where she met and married her sweetheart Willie James Patterson. In 1966 Willie and Sandra were married and from this union two children a daughter Janeen Patterson and a son Shawn Patterson were born.
Sandra worked various jobs through-out her career. She worked at St. Francis Medical Center for a number of years. She worked for the Environmental Protection Agency in New Jersey. In 2004 she retired from the New Jersey State Police forensic Lab.
Sandra was a dedicated member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and raised her family to love our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was devoted to her family.
Sandra loved animals and cherished her dogs Heidi and Chloe. Sandra was a quick study. She could pick things up fairly quickly just by watching. She loved to tinker with things, which I believe is what led her to making Jewelry. She loved planting flowers. She also loved talking to family and friends but not during her soap opera's.
Sandra departed this life at the Capital Health System of Hopewell on November 26, 2024.
Sandra R. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband Willie J. Patterson, her father Prince A. Johnson, her mother Alous Johnson. She is survived by her daughter Janeen M. Patterson, Shawn M Patterson, her granddaughter Janiah M. Patterson, her granddaughter Na'zyah T. Sutphin, her sister O. Marie Rice of Boston, her niece Kim R. Rice of Boston, her nephew Craig E. Rice of Georgia and a host of family members and in-laws.
Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 307 Parkinson Ave, Trenton, NJ 08610. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
