Sarah F. Thorpe Obituary

Sarah Francis Fitzgerald-Thorpe, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025, in Willingboro, NJ, surrounded by love.

Born on February 23, 1939, in Caswell County, North Carolina, Sarah graduated from Trenton Central High School and went on to build a fulfilling career at the Department of Labor as a Principal Clerk. She also worked at Home Instead Senior Care as a Caregiver.

She was known for her strong work ethic, selfless heart, and encouraging spirit. She was not just admired for what she accomplished, but for the way she made others feel valued, seen, and cared for.

Sarah loved the Lord deeply and served in her chur.ch community at Miracle Deliverance Prophetic Temple of God. Her passion for God shined through in the way she shared her faith and lived out the principles she believed in.

Family was the heartbeat of Sarah's life. She treasured time spent with loved ones- offering guidance, and creating memories filled with love and laughter. Her home was a safe place of warmth, open arms, and unconditional support.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mable Brown, her father, Willis Fitzgerald, and her grandson, Elijah Hamilton. Cherishing her memory are her brother Tsombani (Kimee); her aunt Gene; her cousins Linda and Gwendolyn; her children Peter, Brenda, Mark (Pearle), and Nyesha; her grandchildren Dashine, Tsombani Jr, Rashe, Karon, Ajeane, her special granddaughter Kanefiah, Kendall, Lakeisha, Maurice (Suzie), Mark Jr, and Maryyum; and a host of treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Though our hearts ache, we rejoice knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord she served so faithfully. Her legacy of resilience, strength, unconditional love, and unshakable joy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
