Shanicka S. Leonard

Shanicka S. Leonard was born on November 15, 1924 iw seattle washington, as the second eldest of eight children to Rosanna Leonard-jennings and Sylvester Williams. Shanicka departed this life on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at home.

Affectionately known to her family as Mini Mama, Mom and Nícka Shanicka was educated in the Trenton Public School System Shanicka was a Member of Miracle Pentecostal Church of Deliverance.

Shanicka loved her Family and enjoyed going to Atlantic City with her children, Cooking and being called THE BRAID BOSS. Shanicka Loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons, Kaiden and Khail

Shanicka was predeceased by her grandparents, Hazel Baker, Melvin Leonard, Carol Williams, great grandparents, Mary Eaker and Eartha Phillips and uncle Leonardo Williams. she is survived by five daughters, Keaira, Lakyla, Lakayla, Marionna, Kahla, two sons Marion and Kaleeb, two grandsons, Kaiden and Khail, her mother/step father Rosanna Leonard Jennings and Samuel Jennings, father Sylvester Williams, grandmother, Polly Williams five sisters, Sherrell, Sharmaine, Ebony' A'Lonya and Nina, two brothers, Samuel and Jaleel, one uncle Donnell Williams, five aunts, Colette, Lisa, Vanessa, Serena and Caroline, god mother Gaynell Johnson, two special friends Tamara and Alicia and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 1pm Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Way of the Cross Holy Temple Ministries, 30 Princess Diana Dr., Ewing Township, NJ 08638. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
