Sharen Alexander Obituary

Sharen Ann Alexander, affectionately known as "Poochie" or "Rock Lady", passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, after a lifetime of lived fully and on her own terms.

Born on November 25, 1969, Sharen was a lifelong resident of West Trenton, NJ, where she attended public schools. She rooted herself deeply within the community she loved.

Sharen was a woman full of personality. She was selfless, funny, unpredictable, and fiercely loyal-a true "down to ride" spirit whose brutal honesty was matched only by the size of her heart.

She was a vibrant force, either making you roar with laughter or causing a bit of chaos, but she was always willing to give genuine advice straight from the soul. To know Sharen was truly to love her.

Sharen loved music, especially 90's hip hop; chocolate cake and animals. She was famous in the family for making the best pot of fried rice.

Sharen's most devoted love was reserved for her beloved fur baby, Hennessy. She was a dedicated mother to Hennessy, making sure he was loved, spoiled, and treated with the utmost respect by everyone who knew her. You could often find the two of them hanging out in the front of their building or in the window, people watching.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, George Wilson; her great niece, Bree Wilson; her brother, Anthony Howlen; and her fur baby, Hennessy AJexander.

Sharen leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her mother, Shirley Alexander; her sisters, Louisha Jones (Willie), Daisy Wilson, and Mary Rodriguez;  her  nieces and nephews who  she  loved  deeply:  Qyanisha Alexander, Precious Conway, Breyon Wilson, Aunyea Alexander, Cherlysha Wilson, Destyni Hawkins, Nashannea Ferguson, and Randy Hawkins; a special nephew whom she loved and treated as her own son, Kasim Alexander; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Sharen's vibrant spirit, laughter, and loving chaos will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
