When someone you Jove becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.
Shawn Goss Sr. age 56 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his caretaker and girlfriend on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 6:05 p.m. after battling pancreatic cancer.
Shawn was born in Mercer Hospital in Trenton, NewJersey. He spent most of his life in Trenton, before moving to Louisiana in 2017. He had started to travel until his illness, then he returned home to Trenton.
Shawn was educated in the Trenton school system, and he attended vocational school for auto mechanic training. He was employed at Larkins Service Center on Parkway Avenue for more than twenty years, before he retired to travel. He was known as the "best street mechanic" around. He definitely knew his craft.
Shawn was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church and had recently rededicated his life to Christ while in the hospital.
In his leisure time, Shawn loved playing video games, shooting pool and watching movies.
He was preceded in death by his father Boyce Clark II; his mother Regina Goss; his brother Anthony Clark.
Shawn's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by, his wife Dawn Harper Goss: his son Shawn Goss Jr.; his sisters Joyce Goss, Martha Goss, Nina and Krystal Claridy; brothers Boyce III, Earl Sr., Belvin, Clifford Clark, Boris Goss and John Mims; sisters-in-law Dawn Clark and Cheryl Clark; stepchildren Derek Alford, Jasmine and Travis Ryan; three grandchildren Zaniyah Aford, Jalil and Serenity Ryan; his best friend Terron Williams; his special friend Aretha Williams whom he spent his last happiest days with until his death from 2017-2023. She was the reason he retired to travel; his caretaker Rejon "Jippie" Saunders-Goss; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
