Shirley Ann Foxworth was born July 12, 1938 to the late James and Cassie Mitchell. She departed this life September 29, 2025 at Capital Health-Hopewell Campus in Pennington, New Jersey..
Born in Hallsboro, North Carolina, Shirley was a current resident of Trenton, New Jersey for over 50 years. Shegraduated from Artesia High School class of 1956. She was a long time supervisor for the state of New Jerseybefore retiring.
Shirley was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton. She was a member of the Trustee Aide Ministry andMissionary Ministry among other committees. Shirley served as an active participant of WES (Woman Emphasis Season), and a member of the Hospitality ministry where she was a Greeter. She alwaysvolunteered, she participated in church food and clothes drives.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her eight siblings Henry, Charles, Thurston, Fred Mitchell, Isabell Shipman, Mary M. and Esther M. Green.
Shirley's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her two sons Ronny (Roxanne) and Eric (Crystal); her grandchildren Eric, Matthew, Raven, Ashley and Amber (Chris); her great grandchildren Taylor, Smair, Mila and Ciara; her nieces Heather, Kim and Nicky; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 10am Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Jr Way, Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 8am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
