Stanley Fishburne

Mr. Stanley Bernard Fishburne, son of Charles L. and Alice L. Fishburne was born om May 6,1963 in Trenton, NJ.  He transitioned from this life on Friday, April 4 2025 at Capital Health System, Hopewell, NJ.   

Stanley attended the Trenton Public School Systems, graduating “Class of 1981”.  Upon graduation he briefly attended DeVry Institute in Woodbridge, NJ. 

He held many jobs, beginning his work experience at the age of 10 years old.  He was previously employed by Savon Drug, Inc moving on to Walmart, Inc where he was employed for more than 20 plus years as well as the State of New Jersey, retiring March of 2024 with 20 years of service.  In addition to his work, he was a methodical sports card and comic book curated collector. 

For those who knew ‘Stan the Man” as he was affectionally known, was a very reserved, humble, funny and courageous soul.  Family was very important to him, which he loved tremendously.  Stan lived to see others happy, he always had a joke or a way to make someone smile.  He gave great advice, making him a trusted individual to many. 

Stanley was predeceased by his mother Alice, his father Charles, and his bonus son Kenny Wells.  

His memories will be cherished and forever remembered by his four children Kiara S., Kiyana A., Kristen S., and Kyle S. Fishburne (Jessica), 12 grandchildren, one brother Ray C. Fishburne, two sisters, Beverly A. (Fishburne) Hamilton, Danielle R. Robinson (Daniel), 6 six aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

One very special devoted companion of sixteen years and caregiver Suzanne Wells, one bonus daughter Brittany Udry, one bonus son Robert Boarders as well as 12 bonus grandchildren. 

A Memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 735 E. State St., Trenton, NJ 08609. Interment will be private.
