Steve Grissett

Steve Grissett was born August 16, 1963 to James G. Grissett and Mryle Lee Bryant in Trenton, NJ. He Departed life on November 27, 2020 in Philadelphia, PA.

A Lifelong resident of Trenton, NJ. Steve was educated in the Trenton Public School system. He was a huge sports fan and enjoyed playing softball with his beloved "Gator Pit" softball team until he was unable to play. He was also a huge Boston Celtics fan and a diehard Miami Dolphins beat the Eagles in a one-point victory.

Predeceased by his father James G. Grissett, sisters Barbara Ann Pugh and Victoria Grissett. Steve is survived by his wife Carol Grissett of Trenton NJ; his mother Myrtle L. Bryant of Conway SC; three brothers Bobby Grissett, Jesse Grissett both of Conway SC and Billy Shaw of Loris SC; three sisters Peggy Grissett, Mary Stackhouse (Joe) both of Loris SC and Jacklyn Graham of Conway SC, Steve also leaves to cherish his memory 17 nieces, 7 nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews and one special niece Sharon Grissett. Although Steve did not have any biological children of his own, he embraced his wife’s family as his own, from that union he leaves three sons Richard Dix Jr., Derrick Dix Sr., and Michael Dix all of Trenton NJ, three grandsons Derrick, Jordan and Joshua; a great granddaughter Kalia; a brother-in-law Steve Green; two sisters-in-law Pamela McKitchen and Mary Stuart (Herman); two Bonus Daughters Tara and Jonda; a daughter in law Tiawanna, Steve also leaves  three special friends Daryl Hayes, Christopher Rice and Daryl Brown; and a host of family and friends.

 Services will be 9-11am Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave. Interment will be private.
