Tayquan Kelly

Tayquan Marquise Kelly passed away on Saturday, August 27,2022 at Capital Health Medical Center at the age of 29 years old. 

Tayquan affectionately known as Tay was born January 24, 1993 in Trenton New Jersey. A lifelong resident of Hamilton, New Jersey he was educated in the Hamilton Township Public School System. 

Tay was a child care provider and home maker. Whenever or where ever a child care need would arise, there was only one phrase "call Tay". Tay loved the children and they all loved him. He was always willing to help whether it was with children, errands, or helping to move, his answer was always yes. He will be fondly remembered as "always willing to extend a helping hand". 

Tay loved cooking he specialty was pasta dishes and pizza. Being an uncle and being around his family gave him great pleasure. His unmistakable goofy laugh would fill a room encouraging you to join in. Tay was always happy even as a young child you can find laughing or making you laugh. His smile can be found in a lot of pictures whether in the front or in the background with his eyes wide open and smile so bright it made you smile. 

Tay was vibrant, full of life with an energetic spirit, which was filled with love and joy for others. He was very sociable making lifelong friends where ever he went. To know him was to love him. He was fearless and very kind hearted. 

Tayquan was predeceased by a sister, Tanesha Stewart; paternal grand­father, Alan Hall; maternal grandfather, Vincent Stewart; great maternal grandfather, Matthew Kelly; great-great maternal grand parents, John Henry and Florida Mae Covington; and great-great paternal grandparents, Cicero and Rhetha Kelly. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Takiya Kelly of Trenton, NJ; maternal grandmother, Teresa Kelly-Baker (Bobby) of Trenton, NJ; four brothers, Takyrus Kelly (Nicole) of Hamilton, NJ, Tavaris Kelly (Erica) of Ewing NJ, Taqualon Finch of Trenton, NJ, and Tay Shawn Stewart of Trenton, NJ; five sisters,Taneka Kelly­Chisolm (Tyreek) of Willingboro, NJ, Tashanna Smith (Lavar) of Pennsylvania, Taleta Singletary (Lawrence) of Trenton, NJ, Tasheika Stewart of Hamilton, NJ, and Taqwana Stewart of Hamilton, NJ; his maternal grandmother, Alma Kelly of Willingboro, NJ; his paternal grandmother, Annie Kelly of North Carolina; a best friend, Rakaya Fischer; three special aunts, Adrien Covington, Arlene Williams and Belinda Agosta; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. 

Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618 . Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
