Temeka Hale

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. 

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved T emeka accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Friday, June 24, 2022 at home in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter. 

Temeka Keyon Hale was born April 28, 1976 in Trenton, New Jersey to Vanessa Hale Shutz and Ray Myers. 

She was educated in the Trenton public school system and Temeka graduated from Trenton Central High School. She was employed as a Dietary Technician in Lawrence Township. 

In her leisure time, "Meek" as she was affectionately called, loved listening to music. She loved her family and she cherished the quality time she spent with them. 

She was predeceased by her father Ray Earl Myers; her sister Shanika Lewis; her maternal grandparents Reverend Bennie and Mother Mamie Hale; her paternal grandparents Fred and Adeline Myers; uncles Harold, Guss, Bennie, Fred [r., Robert and James; aunts Shirley and Elizabeth. 

Temeka's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her three daugh­ters Itiea, Shamara and Nakyea; her son Tabika Hale; grandchildren Jaylen Parker, Jaziah Parker, Jace Parker, Kylah McClure and Royalty Smith; her mother Vanessa Hale Schutz (Simuel); her brothers Jaye Shawntel Hale, Xavier B. Croom, Quame Myers and Derrick Myers; her aunts Bessie Hale, Linda Hale-Carmichael (Richard), Barbara Hale, Mary Tate, Rose Phillips Games), Gloria Miles-Smith; a very special friend Monique Hill; a host cousins, other relatives and friends . 

Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Wayne Ave. Baptist Church, 30 Wayne Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.  Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
