Tennica D. Johnson-Campbell Obituary

Tennica D. Johnson-Campbell was born on May 28, 1968, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to the late Edward and Louise Johnson. She peacefully transitioned on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the age of 57. 

Tennica attended Piscataway Vo-Tech High School, where she earned her diploma in Medical Office Occupations. She later relocated to Trenton, New Jersey, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and dedication to her work. 

In 2005, Tennica married the love of her life, George Campbell. This past July, George and Tennica joyfully celebrated 20 years of marriage, a testament to their love and commitment. 
Tennica had a strong passion for being an administrative assistant. Throughout her professional career, she held positions with the New Jersey Parking Authori-ty, Merrill Lynch, and Farmers Insurance. She took pride in her work and was known for her reliability, professionalism, and warm spirit. 
In her spare time, Tennica enjoyed shopping, gardening, reading the Word of God, cooking, and spending time with her family. Family gatherings were especially meaningful to her, as she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. 

Throughout her life, Tennica overcame many obstacles with unwavering faith, willpower, and determination. She possessed a remarkable capacity to both give and receive love. Above all, she cherished time with her family-especially with her beloved son, Jordan, who was truly the light of her world. 

Tennica was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Louise Johnson; her son, Jordan Campbell; her mother-in-law, Essie Stackhouse; and her broth-er-in-law, Derrick Campbell. 

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, George Camp-bell; her sister, Robin Johnson; her stepdaughter, Jaleesa Carmichael (Steve); her brother-in-law, Steve Campbell (Sheila); her granddaughters, Jazmin and Aminah; her nieces, Lateshia Johnson and Ivonna Young; her special cousins, Albert Scott, Crystal Marrow; and her beloved dog, Diezel. Tennica also leaves behind a host of loving family members and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

 

Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
