She lived with a gentle spirit, loved with a kind heart, and shared her joyous laughter with everyone she knew. Teresa was the beloved daughter of late parents, Lawrence Ray and Mary Nottingham Ray, and late sisters Ethel Jookie) Ray and Lillian Ray. She was raised with nurturing family values and 2 strong work ethic that continued throughout the duration of her life. Those values were deeply reflected in how she loved and cared for family and friends.

A proud graduate of Northampton Highschool, she later became a dedicated employee of Eckerds and Rite Aid Warehouse where she worked for over twenty years. Teresa found joy in and had a passion for fashion, playing bingo, spending early mornings talking with her sister Annette and keeping up with the lates: celebrity gossip and politics. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time shopping with her brother Johnny, who was her best friend.

Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She leaves behind to cherish and honor her memory her children Teameak: Ray-Grover, Tremaine Ray, Maurice Ray Riley, and grandchildren Ahmad Ra Robinson, Traniece Ray Byrd, Tymesha Ray, Tyneisha Ray, Talisha Ray, Jace Ray Grover, Samiyah Ray Riley, and Tremaine (TJ) Ray, and her great granddaughter Sabrina Ray.
