Theodoshia Gillard Obituary

Theodoshia Thelena Gilliard, daughter of the late, Theodore Felton Swain and Lizzie Raponsia Bryant-Swain was born on July 29, 1941 in Columbia, North Carolina. On Monday, November 8, 2021 Theodoshia passed from Life to Eternity at her home in Morrisville, PA surrounded by her loving family, friends, and Constellation Hospice.

Theodoshia graduated from Columbia High School in Columbia, NC, and also graduated from Wilfred Academy Beauty School in Trenton, NJ in the 80's.

She was employed by Princeton University in several areas, a secretary in Admissions, food services, and janitorial services. Retiring after more than 30 years.

"Thee' was known for her caring and joking personality, baby-sitting for friends, and family. Having family reunions, and regular Sunday dinners at her house. Theo had an excellent friendship and love with those on her street (Rosemar). And for the love of her van (Which we called "White Lightening", and if she was here you'd see why.) Mommy, grand-mom, Gigi was known for the love, patience, and care she gave us all. Her daughter, son, grands, great-grands, and Kevin Williams meant more than words can ever say to her. Mom always helped others and put others before herself. Mom enjoyed cooking for her neighbors, and watching Steve Harvey of Family Feud. One of our mom's favorite sayings was "It is what it is".

Theo was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Felton Swain and Lizzie Raponsia Bryant-Swain; one brother Lee Thomas Swain, and two sisters, Tiny McCleese, Paris Ann Swain and husband Hugh David Gilliard of Starr, S.C.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Darrell David Gilliard of Morrisville, PA; daughter, Katrena Raponsia Gilliard of Morrisville, PA; grandson, Keith Green, Jr. of Morrisville, PA; twin grand-daughters Unique Charnelle Green of Morrisville, PA, and Shanique Chantel Green of Philadelphia, PA; one special son Kevin J Williams of Philadelphia, PA; friend Willie Randolph of Morrisville, PA; great grand-daughters Nova Marie Horn, Valencia Rae Michel of Philadelphia, PA and Katalina Rosaric Green of Bristol, PA; her only great grandson King Hugh Green of Bristol, PA; goddaughter Evelyn M. 'Gregory of Burlington Township, NJ; godson Johnathan Cloyd of Ewing, NJ; 2 sisters Marjorie Ellison of Willingboro, NJ and Della Correia (Gene) of Trenton, NJ; 3 brothers Lorenzo F.
