Thursday L. Powell

Our beautiful Thursday Larell Powell was born on May 22, 1969 in Princton,New Jersey to the parents of Kay and LeRoy Brown. Gone too. soon, Thursday passed from Earth to Glory on the morning of February 4, 2026 at Capital Health, Helen Fuid Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey with a loving family by her side.

She graduated from Hightstown High School in 1987 and attended Mercer County Vocational School for Culinary Arts and Horticulture in which she loved. Among her most cherished work experiences includes working at Roy Rodgers on exit 8 Turnpike in Cranbury; and working with children as a bus-aide for the GST Bus Company in Burlington,NJ. Thursday is a part of a close knitted family rooted on Daniel Street (the Road) in Hightstown where her loving grandparents Lester and Bonnie L Johnson raised their 9 children. To Thursday, family meant the world to her; she loved "unconditionally, and was willing to always lend a helping hand. Thursday knew how to pray and believed and daily trusted God to help her make a way out of no way.

In 2000, Thursday married her soul mate and best friend of 26 years to Donald Crudup. It was the best day ever! The ceremony took place on a beautiful sunny day on the lawn of her grandparents in the presence of family and friends. God has always been their strength even through health challenges. They believed in God! "Thursday" loved praying and talking out her faith to help deal with the "issues of life". Her last post on " facebook" said ""God was so Good" ...am not worried about Nothing" If God is before me, who can be against me". Donald shared that," He and his wife,Thursday will always be sidekicks, like Batman and Robin".

Thursday was a beautiful soul who was full of love and special wisdom.She was a loyal wife, loving mom, grandmom, sister, daughter,aunt and friend to everyone she encountered. She wore so many hats, one of being a great "listener" and had no problem stepping in to show love and support to her family...grands, or nieces especially when her sister, Annette passed. Thursday was an "aunt with a mothers's special touch" and her massages were the best that hit the spot! Thursday, carried on a long standing family tradition, making her home a place of safety,comfort and unconditional love. When her nieces came to visit their home, aunt Thursday could let them lay across her bed,watch their favorite television shows; cook their favorite foods; which enabled each of them to ""feel better" than when they entered the door!

Thursday knew how to take care of herself! She carried herself with grace,class and style.

She never left home without her hair done well,designer nails and smelling good. Thursday was a shining star,whose laughter could lift your spirits! We will miss our dear "Thursday", but God loves her best! No More pain and no more suffering! So long for now, until we meet again in heaven. Take your wel deserved rest dear sweet Thursday.

Funeral service will be 11am Friday, February 20, 2026 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 21 Rev. William L. Powell Dr., Hightstown, NJ, 08520. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown, NJ.
