Obituary Toni Norma Jackson Miles

Toni Norma Jackson Miles age, 72, entered into God’s Loving Hands on March 29, 2024 in Lanham, Maryland.

Born in Trenton, NJ she was a lifelong resident of the Trenton/Hamilton area. Toni attended Hamilton Public schools and was a graduate of Hamilton High School West class of 1969. Toni was employed by the State of New Jersey, Division of Workplace Standards and retired after over 40 years of service in 2009.

She was the maternal granddaughter of the late Charlie & Mollie Fitzgerald and the paternal granddaughter of the late Leon and Bertha Jackson. Toni was the daughter of the late John Jackson and Margaret Fitzgerald-Jackson. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Miles, after nearly 40 years of marriage.

Toni was a kind, loving, and spiritual person who had a quick wit and was known to readily make others laugh. She enjoyed sports, especially football and her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She cherished gatherings with family and friends and providing happiness to others. She spent her free time doing the things she enjoyed most which included playing scrabble, crocheting, and taking trips to Atlantic City. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church and served on the media ministry. She also volunteered to prepare flowers for the annual church cancer observance.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents, and husband as well as her late brother Arnold Jackson. She leaves to mourn her passing; sister Carolyn Jackson and special nephew Derrick Jackson, Sister Sylvia Jackson-Philips (Harold), and nephew Wesley Phillips. She also leaves to mourn special cousin Yvonne Tinsley, special friend Alex Lepore and her family, her church family and many cousins, family and friends.
