Tracie Lin Williams passed away on October 11, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on October 29, 1959 in Abington, PA. She was raised and spent most of her life in Trenton, NJ.
A proud graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1977, she attended Hampton Institute (University) and Mercer County Community College.
In 2012, after 33 years of service, Tracie retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor. Tracie retired to Jacksonville where she spent her days crocheting colorful blankets, watching Judge Mathis, rooting for any NFL team that had a black quarterback, but especially the Eagles, talking on the phone with family and friends, and her favorite pastime, trips to Wal-Mart.
Tracie is predeceased by her mother, Helen (Hanks) Williams; Father, Jimmie L. (June) Williams, Jr.; and aunt, Margaret (Peggy) Anderson.
She is survived by one brother, Christopher Williams; one sister, Valerie Williams; daughter-in-law, Makayla Overstreet-Williams; granddaughter, Kaylen Williams; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. She also leaves behind good friends Carolyn Johnson, Deborah Shumate, Bernice Lamons, Sylvester (Bo) Gore, Florence (Pookie) Baker; special cousin, Nina Anderson; and finally, "the love of my life, the one I lived for, my only son" Galen Williams.
Funeral service will be 12pm Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 10am until the time of services. Interment will be private.
