Obituary

Tuwmaa Aalim Aatif Parker was born on June IS. 1988 in Princeton. New Jersey. Born and raised in Princeton. Tuwmaa is the fourth of six children born to Thomas and Joanne Parker. 

 
Tuwmaa was educated in Princeton Public Schools and graduated from Princeton High Schaal with the class of 2006. He went on to attend Benedict College in Columbia. South Carolina and completed his degree at Full Sail University in Winter Park. Florida. For the past several years Tuwmaa worked as a Multimedia Technician far BlackRock Inc. based in New York. Most recently he accepted a position as an onsite Production Technician for Facebook through DreamTek Inc. in their New Yark office. Tuwmaa loved commuting to the city. 

Tuwmaa enjoyed all things music. sports. technology and family. He was a huge movie buff. Often discussing who's who in every movie with his dad. Tuwmaa was an avid NY Knicks and Philadelphia Eagles fan. However, his greatest joy was his son, Miles Aalim Parker. His all was for him. 

Not only was he a prideful father, Tuwmaa was a loving and caring uncle. only ever wanting what was the best interest for the kids. He took a commonsense approach to life and showed up genuinely in love and friendship as only he could. He had a warm and charismatic smile, an infectious laugh and a comforting   presence. Tuwmaa played multiple sports, but if you know Tuwmaa, he should have been on the debate team because to know Tuwmaa was argue with Tuwmaa. Knowing that in the end Tuwmaa still felt he was right. However, disagreeing with Tuwmaa  never meant any less love as always, he knew what mattered most, Family. 

Tuwmaa is survived by one son. Miles Aalim Parker. his parents, Thomas, and Joanne Parker, six siblings, Tahira Parker, Farah Parker. 

Kaamilah Williams (Arterio),Jawhara Parker, Taariq Parker, and Alexzander Henriques. One niece. his Goddaughter, Jalilah Tennin and five nephews, Kahlil Gordon, Arterio, Jr. Asim. Ahsan. and Amir Williams. His 

Goddaughter, Simone Enriques, Three God Sisters, Yvette Best, Kayla Elbaridi and Leia Newlin, A Godmother Sally Ann Kornegay and a Godfather, Leighton Newlin. A host of Aunts and Uncles, Lawrence Parker (Shirleen), Christeen Griffins (Orlando) Catherine Rice-Medley (John). Barbara Rice, Penny Rice -Burnette (Michael), Eddie Rice (Yvonne), Edward Rice and Gladys Rice. Great Aunts Carolyn Maye, Joan Gilbert (Eddie) and Great Uncle Aralius Mayes (Burnadette), A host of cousins including his special cousins Yashida Morris and Richard Wilson. 

Tuwmaa was a friend to many, but his crew consisted of Michael Gyampo, Jason Barry, Keith Ragoonanan, Kenny Bullock, Jason Doub, Glenn Fergurson, Anthony Aaron, and Marcus Brown. 
 

Predeceased by his paternal grandmother Rutha Parker-Smith, his maternal grandparents Edward and Gladys Rice. 

 

Funeral service will be 12pm Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Princeton, 119 John Street Princeton NJ 08542.  Calling hours will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, NJ.  Repast to follow at Princeton Country Club1 Wheeler Way Princeton, NJ 08540
