Tyro "Tarry" Lee Scott

Tyro "Tarry" Lee Scott was born on December 30, 1957, in Trenton, New Jersey. Tarry was called home to rest his labor, on June 7, 2025, at Jefferson Bucks Hospital. Tarry was the sixth child of Annie Lee Scott - Hemingway and Woodrow Scott, Sr. (Scottie). Tarry was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers Woodrow Scott, Jr: Emmanuel Scott; Sr: and Ernest Scott. His favorite niece Lavonia Scott. 

Tarry earned his high school diploma through Trenton Central High School. He served in the United States Army immediately following high school. Tarry loved to work, and he held several positions. He was a Correction Officer at Trenton State Prison. He was a maintenance engineer at US Components in Morrisville, PA. He retired in 1999. He worked as a bartender at Scottys and Ray's Lounge. 

Tarry loved watching football and basketball. His favorite football team was the Kansas City Chiefs. Friends and family always called Tarry a mixologist. You can always find him relaxing to some smooth jazz music. Tarry loved to cook. He loved to simmer cook, so don't show up early. He started to cook the meal at 10am and the meal was not done until 10pm. 

Tarry loved family and friends. He cherished and remembered by his loving siblings Barbara Ann Scott, Johnnie Scott and Twana Scott - Holman. Sister-in-law Antoinette "Toni'" Scott. He loved his daughter Lakenia T Billingsley (Jonathan) and son Trey Scott - Bullock. His special friend Sharon Minschwaner. His other special friends were Vincent Hill. Marv Giles (Miss Delores). Ricki Daniels and The Randolph Family. Tarry was blessed to see two generations of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tarry had two grandsons Ty Quier Billingsley (StarrQuasia), Jahree Billingsley (Krystal) and granddaughter Makayla. Three great grandchildren Kahlani, TyQuier, Jr and Shiloh. Five special grandchildren Jazaria Little, Jax Little, Jacquin, Ca'lil and Camille Billingsley. Tarry had many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
