Vernal A. Vaughan Jr.

Vernal A. Vaughan Jr. 79 a resident of Trenton, NJ passed away Monday January 19, 2026 at Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton, NJ. Vernal was born in Trenton, NJ June 4, 1946. Vernal was educated in the Ewing Township Public Schools system.

Vernal loved Manhattan and Harlem in New York where he resided for some years upon returning to Trenton, NJ.

Vernal was preceded in death by his parents Vernal A. Vaughan Sr. and Buelah M. Thomas Vaughan, and two brothers, Bruce A. Vaughan Sr. and Craig S. Vaughan Sr.

He is survived by Two sons Keith V. Vaughan 1st, of Willingboro, NJ and former daughter in-law Elizabeth Vaughan of Concord, NC., John W. Vaughan and daughter in-law Bernadette Griffith-Vaughan of Conway, SC., Six grandchildren Keith V. Vaughan 2nd of Roanoke, VA., Jacquelyn Witcher of Roanoke, VA., Mercedes Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC., Danyelle N. Terrell of Conway SC., Janai C. Vaughan of Norfolk, VA., Cierra M. Vaughan of Conway SC., He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

A memorial service will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, located at 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. The interment will be private.
