Veronica Victoria Vega was born on October 30, 1967, Grace Harrington and Harry, Cowan in Trenton, New Jersey, Veronica brought a list into the world that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She departed this life on April 2, 2026 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.
Veronica was educated in the Trenton Public School System and was a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School. To her community and those who loved her most, she was affectionately known "Granny? Veronica possessed a warm spirit and a gift for connection -she was always ready for a heartfelt conversation and had a way of making people feel seen and heard.
Above. all else, Veronica was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and there was nothing she would not do for the people she loved. A woman of faith, she found great comfort and fellowship at Union Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church, worshiping there whenever her health allowed.
She was predeceased by her dad Clifford Goldware, her maternal grandparents, Aldora & James Harrington; her sisters, Cathleen Cowan and Andrea "Bubbles" Bland; her brother, David "DOPE" Williams; her son, Dashawn Womack; cousins, Richard and James Harrington, Emma Jean Harrington, and her nephew, Leroy "Lil I' Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memories her parents Grace Harrington and Harry Cowan; her four children: two sons, Tyreak (Ruth) and Nasson Harrington; two daughters, Victoria (Suka) Vega and Alexis (Arman) Elliott; her siblings, Gregory (BayBay) Cowan, Harry Harrington, Clifford Harrington, Natasha Cowan and Lea Howlett; her six grandchildren, Devin Sampson Jr., Alexis & Rayair Barlow, Ava, Ari, and Avri Elliott; her step brothers and sisters Carrington and Leon Harrell, Shawn and Shannon Wright, Tjuan Butler, Britney Smith, Iyonna Robinson. Three very special Aunts Blanche Marie Williams, Emma Harrington, Jessie (Keith) Langston and one Uncle Willbert Jasmine) Harrington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended families, and unforgettable friends.
Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
