Vivian Stalling was born on September 27, 1943 to the late James and Louise Newman in Norfolk, Virginia. The second of six children, she departed this life on November 16, 2022 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Pemberton, New Jersey.
Raising a growing family, mother Newman relocated to Bristol, Pennsylvania when Vivian was thirteen. It was here that Vivian attended and graduated from Bristol High School in 1961. After matriculating from high school and entering the workforce as a young woman, she accepted employment with the United States Steel Company in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. She retired from USS as a Computer Operator in 1998.
She lovingly brought up her children in Trenton, New Jersey. During her retirement, she found the greatest enjoyment in reading, cooking and traveling the world with family and friends.
Vivian accepted Christ at an early age and was a former member of Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Trenton. After residing in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, she returned to Trenton and continued to enjoy worship virtually with the Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia.
Predeceased by her parents and a brother, Joseph Drew, she leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy, her children, Kenneth Jackson (Julie), Bernita Jackson, Kimberly Tullis (Greg) and Chris Stalling; siblings Annie Bronner, Linda Smith, Ernest Drew and Alton Drew; grandchildren Nakieba, Nicholas, LaTesha, Jordan, Kenneth Jr. and Ethan; six great-grandchildren; traveling companions, Carol and Gwen; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
