With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Walter accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Riverside Nursing Home in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Walter Moreland, born in Trenton, New Jersey on September 14, 1947 to Henry and Zellean Moreland. Walter was a lifelong resident of Trenton.
He was educated in the Trenton public school system. He worked as a was a self employed painter.
In his leisure time, he loved being outdoors fishing. Walter would fish everyday until his health no longer allowed him to. He also loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved his brothers and sisters so much and he'll be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry Moreland; his mother Zellean Moreland; his brother Leroy White; his sisters Ruby White-Spady, Delores Ross and Elizabeth Burrus; a sister-in-law Gloria Moreland.
Walter's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his Siblings Douglas Moreland, Dilet Moreland of Willingboro, NJ, Audrey Mohammed all of Trenton, NJ, Christine Moreland of Winston Salem, SC, Hazel Bloom of Lawrenceville, NJ and Elise Wilson of Trenton, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1pm Monday, June 27, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
