William Fowler Jr. Obituary

William Fowler Jr. was born on April 20, 1938 in Greenville South Carolina. He departed this life on December 4, 2023. He was the first-born son of William Fowler Sr., and Earlene Prater. He lived his formative life on the farm owned by his grandparents, Jim and Mamie Prater. In 1954, he moved to Princeton, New Jersey, accompanied by his mother and brother, and were longtime residents of the Princeton Community.

After a time in Hartford, Connecticut, where William engaged in various high skilled industrial jobs, he later returned to Princeton. He was employed by the Princeton Housing Authority as a senior, maintenance supervisor, where he was well known and loved by the housing community.

William was affectionately nicknamed "Skinny" by friends and family. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. His abundant harvest was always shared with his community of friends. When he wasn't in the garden, he could be found watching a sporting event on TV. He was a diehard fan of the Eagles, Yankees, and Nets.

He lived his life, unapologetically, saying, and doing what he truly wanted to do. He always had a story to share, and his comedic stories and jokes were the entertainment at every gathering.

William was predeceased by his father, William Fowler Sr., his mother, Earlene Prater, and his brother, Robert Fowler.

He leaves behind his wife, Alice Fowler of Seneca, South Carolina, and her children, Chelsea and Bernard Simpson. Additionally, his sister, Elaine, Ware of Plainsboro, New Jersey, and his brother, Albert Ware, of Springfield, Massachusetts. Also, Albert Ware, of Springfield, Massachusetts.
