William Lewis

William Lewis, son of the late Mary Etta Lewis, was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He earned his GED from Mercer County Community College and went on to work as a Dietary Aide at Complete Care at Marcella in Burlington, N. William truly loved what he did, his coworkers called him Mr. Bill and could never get enough of his famous BBQ ribs.

He departed his life on October 19th 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. 

"Bill" enjoyed cooking alongside his daughter and sharing his delicious meals with family and coworkers. He was a dedicated 49ers fan, loved spending time with his grandchildren, and shared a special bond with each of them, especially his grandson Jaden, who kept him smiling and on his toes.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Etta Lewis; brother, Norman Lewis; his granddaughter, Tiana. He leaves behind his loving sister, Gina Lewis; his children, Shana Tabor and Gabriel Tabor; his bonus daughter, Jennifer Johnson; and his grandchildren Zachary, Jaden, Kysir, Justin, Aaliyah, and Jordan. He also leaves behind several aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins friends, and coworkers who will cherish his memory forever.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Interment will be private.
