Willie James Boles was born on February 4,1952 in Neptune, NJ to his parents Jerome "Romeo" Boles, Sr. and Mary Boles. He was affectionately known as "Day Boles" and was raised with his brothers as the second oldest son.
Day Boles was a longtime resident of Trenton, NJ where he attended Trenton Public Schools and graduated from Trenton Central High School. When he matured and grew into a man, he began working at the steel mill.
Day Boles was the father of seven sons and one daughter. His older children can recount times of visiting dear old dad at the steel mill while he worked He loved playing cards and socializing with his brothers and longtime friends. He was a man who was admired for his honesty, and his jokes that held such truth in the punchline. When he loved, he loved hard... ask his ex-wife they were married twice.
He will be remembered as a no-nonsense kind of guy. He was not easily angered but found it easy to express himself to the fullest. If a debate or dispute needed to come to an end his favorite sayings were "Ok COOL" and "Conversation over". Whether it was over or not he was sure to get the last word no doubt about it. What brought joy to Day Boles was Family. Whenever his children and grandchildren were near it would always bring a smile to his face. He loved his mother dearly and had an unbreakable bond with his brothers.
Willie transitioned On October 192035 at home. He will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved him dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jerome and Mary Boles; and two sons, Brandon and Aula Boles.
He leaves to cherish his memories his five sons, Everett E. Boles, Willie Boles, Tyran G. Boles, Shawn D. Boles, and William Boles (Antionette); his only daughter, Daysia F. Boles; three brothers, Gearld Jones, Jerome Boles, Jr., and Tarrik Boles; one living aunt, Armanda "Nute” Mercer, and a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
