Willieree Hinson Obituary

Mother Willieree “Ree” Hinson, Trenton New Jersey departed this life as it pleased our Lord to call her from Labor to Eternal Reward on May 15, 2020 at Samaritan Compassionate Care Hospice in Mount Holly, New Jersey at the age of 77. Willieree, the daughter of the Late Mr. Benjamin F. Hinson and Mrs. Lalia Huntley Hinson, was born on May 18, 1942 and raised in Wadesboro, Anson County, North Carolina. At an early age Willieree confessed Christ and joined Ellerbee Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Rockingham, North Carolina. She attended Richmond County Public Schools and graduated in 1962 from Monroe Avenue High School in 1962. Upon completion of high school Ree, immigrated to Washington Heights, New York City, Boro of Manhattan, where she furthered her education at Washington Business Institute and Junior College. From there she earned degrees in Business Administration & Secretarial Sciences, Residential Domestic Engineering and Nursing. Upon relocating to Trenton, New Jersey Willieree was employed by NJ Department of Health & Human Services, (North Princeton Developmental Center) familiarly known as Skillman, in Princeton, New Jersey as a Residential Living Specialist. Part-time she worked as a cook, waitress, and bookkeeper at Blue Light Restaurant in East Trenton. Willieree, gifted in discernment as evidenced during her time in New York, when she rededicated her life to the Lord, had a big loving heart for Evangelism, sharing her testimony of overcoming life’s adversities only by God’s Grace and Mercy. This birthed her Ministry of Helps. She was known for helping any and everybody which she felt became her purpose and immense Joy. She also attended Wilfred Beauty Academy becoming a Licensed Cosmetologist, thus fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams of doing hair. Willieree had many interests and passions Music was one any genre, but especially Gospel Music and Gospel Quartets, Feeding souls both Naturally and Spiritually, Baking, Sewing & Tailoring which she shared with her Sister Patricia and her Late Sister in Love Mrs. Barbara J. Sykes Hinson. Ree’s life was filled with so much love and family, especially her grandchildren. She loved watching her T.V. shows, such as Price is Right, Her Soap Operas, Walker Texas Ranger, Old Westerns, and the Haves and the Have Nots. Sunday Mornings, when health challenges prevented her from attending Church Services she Praised God in the comfort of her home, she and her son would have music playing such as Bishop G. E. Patterson, Shirley Caesar, Carlton Pearson, Marvin Sapp and Rance Allen just to name a few. Willieree, was a member of Grace Cathedral Fellowship under the Leadership of Bishop Jerome S. Wilcox for nineteen years and later moved membership under the same umbrella Abiding Anointing Assemblies Greater Faith Worship Center, under the leadership of Pastor Barbara J. Adams and Assistant Pastor Gregory Spady. Willieree was preceded in death by her Loving parents Benjamin and Lalia Hinson, Four brothers, James Benjamin “Bud” Hinson, Roy M. Hinson, Sr., and Eddie “June” Hinson, Three sisters Mamie L. Nicholson, Benel Anderson, and Clariece Hill. Memories of her warm smile, Hugs, and Unconditional loving spirit will be cherished by her daughter Jacqueline Y. Paden-Hinson, Trenton, New Jersey, her special son Rickey Jackson, Hamilton, NJ, longtime companion and friend of 35 years John David Ham, Freehold, New Jersey Four Grandchildren Lalia X. Hinson, Springfield, MA, Najah N. Barnes-Thomas, Trenton, NJ, Joshua I. Hinson, Trenton, New Jersey, and Malachi D. Hinson, Trenton, NJ. Two devoted and supportive brothers Alton Hinson (Annie), Lawrenceville, NJ, Houston R. Hinson, Zebulon, NC, Three doting and benevolent Sisters Patricia A. Ragsdale (Bill), Somerdale, NJ, Jennie Monroe, Hamilton, NJ, and Margaret A. Williams(Vincent), Alpaharetta, GA Spiritual daughter Minister Sharon Hobdy-Parker, Dear cousins, Doris, Ratliff, (NC), Frankie Huntley(NJ), Patricia Jackson, Ten Godchildren Hope M. Rogers(VA), Laurel Rogers(NJ), Alicia Fairweather(TX), Bryan Harrison(VA) Larell Bryant, Tiffany Green, Sha’Bria Johnson all of (NJ) Sarah Holman, (Ewing), Andrew Braham(PA), Matthew Cooper(NYC) Prayer Partners and close friends who she loved as Sisters Minister Beverly Williams, Ellen A. Hall, Thelma Rawls, Robert Peek, Jr. Caretakers and Nurses Mary Walker, Diane Lee, Mike Jones, Reverend Karen Parker, and Sharlene Worthy. Willieree had a special bond with all her nieces and nephews whom she considered her children before and after Jacqueline was born who were constants in her home Alesha D. Hinson and Houston J. “Little Man” Hinson and those special memories she held very dear and close to her heart. As well as a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends who will mourn her passing yet rejoice in the fact that She Won The Victory!!
