Zebedee's Life Story

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Zeebedee accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Dover, Delaware. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Zebedee Devant Jones was born March 16, 1963 in Trenton, New Jersey to Bettie Mae Jones and Lorenzo Curtis Jones Sr. He remained a resident of Trenton his entire life.

He was educated in the Trenton public school system. Zeebedee was employed at a construction worker, where he was a member of Local Union 77.

In his leisure time, "Bebop" as he was affectionately named, enjoyed dancing and skating. He also loved watching football and he was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his mother Bettie Mae Jones; his father Lorenzo Curtis Jones Sr.; grandmother Beatrice Starling; his brother Alton Lamont Jones; his sisters Marie and Latray Jones.

Zeebedee's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his son Devant (Regina) Jones; his daughter Ericka Jones; his sisters Beatrice Michelle Jones, Myrtle Jones of North Carolina and Latrease Jones; his sisters-in-law Mary Mae Jones and Tonya Tucker; his brothers Lorenzo "Moody" Jones, Marty Jones, Lorenzo "Peetie" Jones, Courtney, Curtis and Cameron Jones all of Dover, DE; his great aunt Margaret Hollaway; an aunt Lottie Ferguson; his best friends John Pat and Mark; four grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
