Zikeria Washington-Long Obituary

THE LIFE & LEGACY OF

For 24 years, the world was blessed with a bright star to goes by the name of Zikeria Nicole Washington-Long. Zikeria's light dimmed low on November 14,2021, when her earthly journey came to an end at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.

Born on December 25, 1996, Zikeria spent most of her life in Trenton. From ages 4-12, she was educated in Irwin County, Georgia. She then returned to New Jersey and continued her education at Iroquois Job Corp, where she graduated in 2014 with her GED and a certificate as a Medical Assistant. Zikeria spent her life helping help. With that love for people, she was employed as a Private Home Health Aide.

Zikeria was a true beckon of light in the hearts of so many. Her fun, loving and big heart was the pulse to all whom she encountered. She loved all her friends and family unconditionally. She enjoyed talking to people, be she would also tell you the truth about yourself, weather you like what she had to say or not, including her mom.

Zikeria was her momma's baby. They were best friends and the bond they shared was rare but always authentic. Her mom relied on her for everything. If she was not working and her mom called, she was on the way!

Zikeria did not have children of her own, but she cared for all the babies. She would babysit for her friends and sometimes became a second mother to them. She also loved cooking. She would cook for her friends and counsel them all at the same time. She had a way of drawing you in with a meal but feeding your heart with love and wisdom. Zikeria made everyone feel special. She chose to love people over judging people for the life they choose to live.

Zikeria enjoyed having a good time dancing, getting dressed up from head to toe, and getting her hair done. You could always tell if she didn't like her hair style, because her face would reflect it. Zikeria did not have a selfish bone in her body. She gave her heart, she gave her last, and for everything she has contributed to this world will never be forgotten. ..

Zikeria was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Nellie and LeRoy Washington, Sr.; paternal grand parents, Josephine Williams and Gerald Long; two brothers, Hashim J. Long, Jr. and James O. Darden ill; and an uncle, Rodney A. Wilcox, Sr.

The radiance of the impact she left on this earth will be forever cherished by her mother, Dreama (James) Darden; her father, Hashim Jabbar Long, Sr.; her sisters, Kanisha Williams, Tatiana Williams, Treshell Samuels, Shimera Samuels, Olivia Darden, and Shamira Darden; her brothers, Rodrigues Darden, Quay Darden, Ocilla Ga Jamil Long, Ziare Long, and Jahmir Hames Kalani Long; two uncles, Willie J.
